PUBG UnBan: PUBG Mobiles’ India return might be happening after all
The Indian Governments’ ban on PUBG has been a hot topic ever since the ban was announced. PUBG Corp. in a bid to come back to India cut ties with Tencent, still, the Indian Ministry had responded by stating that the games’ Violent Nature is also a reason for the ban. After the Jio and Airtel rumors had been put to rest it seemed like the game is gone for good and players have started to move past the game and adapting to new titles. but PUBG unban is still a dream of a lot of gamers

Now a Job posting on LinkedIn was posted by PUBG Corporation, for the role of Corporate Development Division Manager – India.
The job entails to frame the corporate strategy and drive alignment and execution of the game in India, also to support the setup process of PUBG India with guidance from HQ. This means that the game has to have already returned for a person to perform this job. This has really created some hope for PUBG unban in India.

This recruitment notice would only be posted if the Company is sure of its return, and that too very soon. The work location on the job says working from home in India or the city where PUBG India will be set up, which is to be decided. For now, the location is TBD and remote or work from home.
PUBG Corporation has made various moves over the past month that disassociates itself from China. It is was a subsidiary of South Korean video game company Bluehole while Krafton Game Union was the umbrella corporation.

First, PUBG Corp. cut-off Tencent as their Publisher in India, “Moving forward, PUBG Corporation will take on all publishing responsibilities within the country,” the company said.
Next, Krafton made its internal development studio, Bluehole, into an independent subsidiary.
After which PUBG Corp parent company Krafton the two entities merged, with Krafton consolidating PUBG Corp’s publishing and support teams into its own operation. The PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds development team will be left to operate as part of Krafton’s system of fully-owned “independent” studios when the merger takes effect.
“In order to create premier gameplay experiences, we believe that each of our studios should build their own unique creative identity,” Krafton CEO Kim Chang-han said.
Conclusion
All in all, it has come to a point where we assume that PUBG Unban will happen in a month at max. Some of the top people in the esports industry in India also think the same. For instance, NODWIN Gaming MD Akshat Rathee told The Esports Observer “It’s already been a month and a half that it’s been banned and I think it has another month and a half, maybe two, maybe two and a half months. If the ban extends beyond a quarter, maybe four months, that’s where you will start seeing massive change. Eventually, I do believe in the medium-term, not in the long-term, PUBG Mobile will be unbanned.”
